Pair Chamberlain Worcester Porcelain Orange Ground Dessert Plates

A fine pair of deep dessert plates by the Chamberlain factory of Worcester, c.1815, with burnt orange ground over-gilded with vermicelli surrounding a central circular reserve, framed in gold. Each is beautifully painted with flowers in a stylised botanical arrangement against a graduated grey background. The orange ground is edged in a sawtooth shape towards the edge reserved in white, with wide gold bands and patterns of acanthus leaves and plumes inside the gilt rim. Each marked "Chamberlains Worcester" in script.

They measure 20cm (7 7/8") wide and 3.5cm (1 3/8") high.

Condition is very good with no damage, repair or restoration. Three tiny spots of wear to the orange ground on one plate and one to the other. Very minor wear otherwise.
