A nice set of William IV fiddle pattern silver dessert spoons, hallmarked for Exeter 1835, maker's mark William Rawlings Sobey and each also with a journeyman's mark. Each has a family crest of the upper half of a rampant lion holding a fleur de lys within a lozenge between his paws.
They measure 17.5cm (6 7/8") long and 3.7cm (1 7/16") wide, the bowls being 6.3cm (2 1/2) long. They weigh combined 255g / 8.2ozt.
Condition is very good with no damage, dents or repairs and light and appropriate handling wear, the marks and engraving are all clear.
