Dimensions:

W: 12cm (4.7")H: 5.8cm (2.3")

A good Worcester porcelain slop bowl, painted in polychrome enamels with the chinoiserie inspired "Boy In The Window" pattern, c.1770, in a palette predominantly of reds, plums, teal and purple with a touch of gilding. One side features the "boy in the window" with a girl peering around the corner at him and the other features a family greeting a tradesman, the 2 scenes separated by stylised reserves of foliage in black and red with small gilt panels. The inside has a fancy underglaze blue printed frieze and the base has the Wigornia stylised W mark.

It measures 12cm (4 3/4") wide and 5.8cm (2 1/4") high.

Condition is very good with no damage ore repair. Minor handling wear, there is a small red floral device inside the base that shows some wear. Otherwise the outer enamels are in good order.
