First Period Worcester Porcelain Spotted Fruit Coffee Cup & Saucer

An attractive first period Worcester porcelain coffee cup and saucer finely painted with a "spotted fruit" pattern in bright enamels of quince with the spots, blackcurrants, cherries and plums amongst others. Framed with a shaped apple green ground of the same quatrefoil shape as that found on the Marchioness of Huntley wares. 

Underglaze blue mark, ".6" above a set of crossed swords.

The cup measures 7.6cm (3") high, 6.5cm (2 1/2") rim to rim and 9.2cm (3 5/8") rim to handle. The saucer measures 13cm (5 1/8") wide and 2.7cm (1 1/8") high.

Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. Surface wear is very light, minor wear to the centre decoration on the saucer, minimal to the cup enamels and a bit of wear to the gilding on the rims.
