SOLD

Code: FA0865

Dimensions:

W: 14.3cm (5.6")H: 3.5cm (1.4")L: 17.5cm (6.9")

A rare mid 18th century Worcester porcelain leaf shaped and moulded dish, c.1758, edged in green enamel and transfer printed with a fine river scene of ducks and ducklings with a kingfisher sitting on a branch, engraved by Robert Hancock. A light lemon enamel picks out the stalk.

It measures 17.5cm (6 7/8") long, 14.3cm (5 5/8") wide and 3.5cm (1 3/8") high.

Condition: there is a hairline running partway from one side which is visible from the base. On the upper surface, this line has been very sensitively touched in with minor redecoration, very well done and essentially invisible to the naked eye. It displays very well. There is a small smoothed frit to the edge of one leaf tip. No other damage or restoration and surface wear is very light, just a little to the raised printing along the main vertical vein as you can see.
