First Period Worcester Coffee Cup Underglaze Blue & Polychrome Enamel

A delightful Worcester coffee cup with underglaze blue decoration and overpainted with enamels in red and green with some black and gilded highlights. It has a blue border to the inside of the rim and the "W" mark underneath. A simple strap handle with central groove and the top of the rim is painted in ochre.

It measures 2 1/2" high, 2 1/4" wide rim to rim and 3 1/4" rim to handle.

Condition is very good; there are a couple of small frits to the foot rim and some black firing dots also. A little rubbing to the ochre on the rim, minimal wear to the main decoration.
