Large Art Nouveau WMF Silver Plated Centrepiece Green Glass Liner

Striking large WMF silver plated centrepiece with what I believe to be the original green glass liner. Set on a stepped base with reeded bands, 4 circular reeded columns support a shallow dish that holds a separate pierced bowl, through which the lovely green glass can be seen. The rim and foot of the bowl and rim of the dish carry the same reeding and the main body of the bowl has a wide band of a fruiting grape vine with engraved detail to the leaves and further decorative pierced decoration of half moons and triangles around the lower part.

Marked to the base WMF EP and I/O.

It measures 26cm high and 22.5cm wide.

Condition is very good with no damage but there is some age associated surface wear: a few surface marks to the plate and a bit of clouding to the lower half of the bowl.
