A very pretty early 18th century porcelain tea bowl by Meissen, c.1730 decorated with a turquoise ground with 2 shaped cartouches either side painted with Kauffahrtei harbour scenes. The frames, foot and rim are gilded. Inside is a further finely painted harbour scene in puce.
Crossed swords mark to the base. An example of this bowl is viewable on the V&A website under record no. C39-1949.
It measures 8 cm wide and 4.5 cm high.
Condition is good overall but with professional restoration around the rim. No current damage and only light surface wear.
