Art Nouveau Loetz Candia Papillon Glass Lamp Shade

Stunning Art Nouveau Loetz iridescent egg shape glass shade in the papillon pattern in the candia colourway of gold and cream with iridescence of pinks and blue. A beautiful item, it certainly doesn't need a lamp to be worth displaying, just make sure it's placed where is catches the light! It is unsigned but I believe to be Loetz, c.1890-1900.

It measures 8" high and 4 3/4" wide. The opening is 1 1/2" at its narrowest, i.e. where the bulb would sit, and 2" at the outside, where the shade would sit inside a bracket fitting.

Condition is excellent with just a couple of tiny nicks around the edge of the fitting lip.
