Charles I Silver Seal Top Spoon 1639

A Charles I silver spoon with ornate double baluster seal top with well defined and attractive decoration. A nicely shaped bowl with clear leopard's head.

The marks are a bit rubbed but include the lion passant and date for London 1639 but the maker's mark I cannot identify.


It measures 16.5cm (6 1/2") long and 4.5cm (1 3/4") wide. It weighs 42g/1.4ozt.

Condition is very good with no damage and very light surface wear bar the aforementioned bit of rubbing to the marks.
