Unusual English silver sugar box after an 18th century German style. Rounded, lobed shape with stepped lid, curved thumb catch and set on 4 cabriole feet.

Hallmarked for London 1919 and maker Charles Stuart Harris & Sons.

It measures 5" wide, 3 1/2" deep and 3 3/4" high and weighs 257g/8.3ozt.

Condition is very with no damage, dents of repairs. Light surface wear appropriate for age. Hallmarks to the reverse: the makers mark is rubbed but the other marks are clear; inside the lid maker's mark slightly rubbed but legible and other marks clear.
