Attractive and fine Georgian silver wine decanting funnel with plain round body and decorated with reeded bands and beading. The grill is pierced to form a flower pattern.
Hallmarked on both pieces for London 1792, makers initials AB which I haven't found a conclusive match for.
It measures 5"/12.5cm long and funnel is 3"/8cm wide. It weighs 77g/2.6ozt.
Condition is very good with just light surface wear but the marks are a bit rubbed on the body. It is monogrammed and has the date 1790 engraved on the bottom lip of the bowl (hidden under the spout when attached).
