Lovely ornate Georgian silver teapot with half fluted body and set on 4 unusual ornate lion paw feet with scrolls and flowers atop. A lovely simple strap handle with finely cast feather thumb rest. A decorative knop and terminal and pretty patterned band around the shoulders.

Hallmarked for London 1818, makers Solomon Royes & John East Dix. The lid, knop and nut are also all marked.


It measures 6 1/4" high, 11 1/2" spout to handle and 5 1/2" wide. It weighs 675g/21.7ozt.

Condition is excellent with no damage or dents. The hallmarks are a slightly rubbed on the body and it has engraved initials either side. Surface wear otherwise is very light.
