A very attractive and substantial early George V silver sugar caster by Nathan & Hayes. Georgian style with baluster form with fluted lower half with engraved bands and set on a pedestal foot. It has a bayonet twist lock lid with pretty chased floral and diaper patterns and hand pierced holes.
Hallmarked for Chester 1916.
It measures 6 1/2" high and 2 1/2" wide and weighs 239g/7.7ozt.
Condition is excellent with no damage or dents and nice and clean inside. The hallmarks are a little rubbed and surface wear is light and appropriate for age and use.
