Stylish silver sugar caster of lighthouse type with faceted straight sided walls on a circular stepped base. The upper part of the base has a decorative cast geometric band. The domed cover sits inside the base, with pagoda knop and attractive piercings styled as leaves and small dots.
Hallmarked for Birmingham 1930, makers Mappin & Webb (the cover has partial marks and is dated 1929).
It measures 12.7cm (5") high and 6.7cm (2 5/8") wide and weighs 150g/4.8ozt.
Condition is very good with no damage or repair. A few tiny pin-prick dints to the lower half and light surface wear, good and appropriate for age.
