Very stylish art deco silver tea strainer unmistakably by Liberty & Co. Lovely deep bowl nipped in below the rim and flared handle with curved end. Concentric engraved rings run inside the bowl framing a Celtic style knot. A hatched zigzag band runs around the outside. The handle is filled with bands of cross-hatched diamonds and deep engraving to leave raised diamonds and wavy bands.
Hallmarked for Liberty & Co. Birmingham 1937 and also marked with model number 3187.
It measures 4 3/8” long, 2 3/8” wide and 1 1/8” deep and weighs 51g/1.6ozt.
