SOLD

Charming pair of Victorian Staffordshire fireside poodles, dating from c.1860. Creamy white glaze with granular clay to represent the curly coats of two well groomed specimens. They have fully separate front feet which pale grey toes and black claws. Nicely painted faces with yellow eyes, black muzzles, ochres mouth and gilded collars and lockets. Each has 1 1/2 raised in the clay on the underside.

They measure 8 1/4" high, 5 1/2" long and 4" wide.

Condition is excellent with no damage. There are a few areas where the granular clay has not been applied, but this is original to the pieces. Just light surface wear from age and use.
