A lovely Staffordshire figure of Autumn showing a boy squeezing juice from a bunch of grapes into a cup. Decorated in the round, and stood on a naturalistic mound with shredded clay, set on a plain square base. He wears a bright green jacket, pale blue breeches, all with gilt decoration. Vent hole to the base. c.1850.
He measures 17.2cm (6 3/4") high and 6.3cm (2 1/2") wide across the base.
Condition is good; he has had a neat repair to his left wrist. No other damage or restoration bar a tiny nick to the back of the base. Some crazing to the base and across the feet. Enamels are nice and bright with minimal handling wear.
