Early Staffordshire figure of the Welsh (Welch) Tailor's Wife dating from c.1830. It depicts the lady riding a goat, carrying 2 young children in a basket on her back and another in her arms. This depiction has a comical goat kid trying to suckle while they are travelling.
It measures 5 1/4" high and 4" long.
Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. There is glaze crazing but surface wear is light, just the odd paint flake.
