A very nice late Victorian solid silver spirit flask with plain polished body with applied rectangular unengraved cartouche to one side. Bayonet twist hinged cap with cork lining. Hallmarked for Sheffield 1897, makers James Dixon & Sons.
It measures 14cm (5 1/2") high, 7cm (2 3/4") wide and 2.7cm (1 1/8") deep. It weighs 129g / 4.1ozt. It has a capacity of 180ml / 6 fl. oz.
In excellent condition with only minor handling wear and no engravings.
