Very attractive and unusual George III silver snuff box of semicircular shape with central pivot along the base for the lid to swivel open to reveal the contents. A cast lid with a scene of festivities I think and nice detailed patterns around the edges. Plain to all other sides.
Hallmarked for London 1784 with maker's initials for Thomas Langford II.
It measures 3 1/8" by 1 7/8" wide and 13/16" high and weighs 83g/2.7ozt.
Condition is excellent, just a little light wear as appropriate for age.
