A attractive Worcester porcelain coffee cup with grooved strap handle, c.1770. Decorated in the London atelier of James Giles painted in a light imari palette with three vertical striped panels of orange enamel sandwiched between blue each with ornate over gilding and the orange stripe reserving a white mon. Alternating with white reserved sections painted with a flowering vine in orange and blue enamel on a gilt stem. Further blue enamel and gilt band runs above the foot. Gilt scalloped band below the rim, orange and gilt painted mons inside the rim and a large floral device inside the base.

It measures 6.5cm (2 1/2") high and 6cm (2 3/8") rim to rim.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Minor handling wear in the main, the gilding in places is a bit rubbed.
