Gorgeous 18th century George III silver gravy straining spoon of plain style in the Old English Pattern. The central grill has 2 rows of vertical piercings making a stylish as well as functional piece. These serving spoons are becoming increasingly rare and this is a very nice example.

Hallmarked for London 1795 with maker's initials for Samual Meriton II. It is monogrammed to the handle top.


It measures 12" long, 1 3/4" wide across the bowl and 1 1/2" deep.

Condition is excellent with just a little surface wear from age and use.
