Staffordshire Blue & White Cow Creamer Willow Pattern Transfer C.1850

Code: EA0851

SOLD

Utterly charming Staffordshire pottery cow creamer dating from c.1850. Typical stance standing on a base with moulded flower and leaf design. The cow is transfer decorated in blue and white, a variant of the willow pattern. The stopper and base also have elements of the pattern and the tail, udders and face are hand painted in black, pink and red and a black band is painted around the base.

It measures 7 1/4" long, 3 1/8" wide and 5" high.

Condition is very good. 2 small nicks to the edge of the base but they appear glazed so may be original and one small chip to the underside of the stopper. No restoration and light surface wear.
