First Period Worcester Porcelain Chelsea Ewer Creamboat c.1765

A pretty Worcester cream boat, press moulded in a low Chelsea ewer shape with spiral lobed walls and corresponding shaped rim and foot. Acanthus leaf mouldings around the base and a snake's head handle with thumb rest. Painted in the European style with floral sprays in bright enamels and a gilt rim. Unmarked, c.1765.

It measures 6.6cm (2 5/8") high, 11.5cm (4 1/2") long and 7cm (2 3/4") wide.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Very minor handling wear, mainly just a bit of rubbing to gilt rim in places.
