Very nice early 20th century silver sauceboat in a Georgian style with flying C scroll handle, beaded rim and sent on stepped hoof feet with acanthus leaf terminals. Pretty engraved detailing to the feather cast thumb rest.
Hallmarked for Sheffield 1911, makers Mappin & Webb and further marked with the Mappin & Webb London retail mark to the base.
It measures 15cm (5 7/8") long, 8cm (3 1/8") wide and 9.5cm (3 3/4") high. It weighs 174g/5.6ozt.
Condition is excellent with no dents or marks, it stands beautifully, minimal surface wear and lovely clear marks.
