An attractive pair of Georgian silver cauldron shaped salts set on 3 stepped hoof feet and later embossed with roses, a dotted design around the foot terminals and each with a similarly framed vacant cartouche. Shaped gadrooned style rims and each fitted with a blue glass liner. 

Hallmarked for London 1769, maker William Kersill.

The measure 7cm (2 3/4") wide and 3.2cm (1 1/4") high. The total weight is 141g and the silver weight is 82g / 2.6ozt. 

Condition is very good, no damage or repairs. A couple of very minor dings under the base of one only. Surface wear is light and appropriate for age, the marks are a bit rubbed underneath but legible. The liners are in good order.
