Georgian Spode Bone China Porcelain Saucer Dish c.1810

Code: FA1396

SOLD

A fine English porcelain saucer dish, unmarked but attributed to Spode, c.1810, with a very finely painted landscape scene of a drover on horseback with his dog, stopped in conversation with a country lady with a basket over her arm and her goat by her side. The road snakes off into the distance to a large town gatehouse with mountains and forests in the background. A gilt scrolling vine border runs around the rim sandwiched between two thick gilt bands.

It measures 19.2cm (7 1/2") wide and 3.5cm (1 3/8") high.

In very good condition with no damage, repair or restoration and very minor handling wear, mainly just to the gilt on the edge of the rim in places.
