Chelsea Porcelain Floral Dessert Plate Red Anchor Period c.1755

Chelsea Porcelain Floral Dessert Plate Red Anchor Period c.1755

Code: FA1364

SOLD

A Chelsea dessert plate with shaped edge with red-brown rim and painted in bright enamels with bold floral sprays. Red anchor mark, c.1753-1758.

It measures 22.5cm (8 7/8") wide and 3.2cm (1 1/4") high.

In good condition, there has been a small filled rim chip that has been over painted with a leaf close to an original small leaf so it matches well. Some surface wear in places and rubbing to the enamel on the rim. The foot rim is ground from manufacture and there is a small slither chip just inside the foot. A few odd craze lines dotted about.
