Very pretty dessert serving plate by Aynsley with a lovely shaped rim, fluted shape and moulded detail to the ends. Apple green ground with finely gilded garlands and floral bouquets. In the centre is a stunning painted scene of a location in Scotland depicting a loch with castle against a backdrop of trees and mountains.
Unsigned that I can see but most likely by Frederick Micklewright as this dish was part of a service where all the other plates are painted identically and are signed by Micklewright. Dating from the early 20th century, c.1910.
It measures 26.7cm (10 1/2") by 21.5cm (8 1/2") wide and 4cm (1 5/8") high.
Condition is very good no damage or restoration. A couple of light surface marks and a bit of rubbing to the gilding but nothing to detract from such a pretty piece.
