Edwardian Novelty Silver Pig Pin Cushion Chester 1910

Code: FA0624

SOLD

Sweet antique silver pin cushion in the form of a grumpy pig with ears flopping over his wrinkly eyes and with a coiled tail.

Hallmarked for Chester 1910, makers W J Myatt & Co.

It measures 5.5cm (2 1/8" long), 2 cm (3/4") wide and 3.3cm (1 1/4") high. It weighs 15g.

Condition is good overall but he clearly has a few tales to tell. His back right leg has split slightly from his body along the seam and been bent slightly inwards. There is a small split along the seam below his tail. The velvet is original but worn and there are the usual small light surface dints dotted about. The maker's part is partially obscured but the rest of the marks are nice and clear.
