A Georgian porcelain coffee can by the Pinxton manufactory c.1800, of slight bucket shape with a ear-shape handle. Painted with a landscape of a bridge over a river with trees in the fore- and background painted in muted enamels. Gilt band around the foot and rim and small detail down the handle. Painted pattern number to the base.
It measures 6.2cm (2 3/8") high, 6.5cm (2 1/2") rim to rim and 8.5cm (3 3/8") rim to handle.
In good condition: there is a fine hairline to the left of the scene but no other damage or repair. Minor handling wear including some wear to the gilt on the rim.
