Large French silver tastevin of circular form with embossed fluted belly and loop handle cast as a snake with pointed tail and head detail.
Hallmarked on the side and clearer marks on the handle with the boar head silver standard mark and makers mark for Charles-Marie Guidee of Paris and dates for c.1830.
It measures 12cm by 10cm wide and 4cm high and weighs 119g/3.8ozt.
Condition is very good; a few small dints and slight distortion to the rim. The mark on the side is rubbed but those on the handle pretty clear.
