Beautifully painted Derby dessert plate after the William Curtis botanical study of the "Large Flowered St. John's Wort". Painted on a plain white ground with simple gilded rim.
Scripted title painted to the reverse and red Derby mark for c.1806.
It measures 22.5cm (8 7/8") wide and 3.2cm (1 1/4") high.
Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. The surface of the porcelain is finely crazed and there is very light surface wear.
