Very pretty Victorian Christening mug with vacant cartouche to the front. Lovely bright cut engraved detail around the b ody, the top and bottom with beading. An ornate scrolled handle with moulded and engraved terminals and a feather scroll thumb rest. It retains its original gilt interior.
Hallmarks area bit rubbed but I think the maker's mark is for Edward & John Barnard and dates for London c.1855-65.
It measures 3 3/8" high, and 4" by 2 5/8" wide. It weighs 141g/4.5ozt.
Condition is excellent with no damage and very light surface wear bar the slight rubbing to the marks, nice and clean inside.
