Pretty and unusual late Georgian silver Christening cup with an urn form body with fluted lower half and set on a stepped pedestal foot. Attractive and ornate reeded handle with flower form lower terminal and split twining branch style terminals at the rim.

Hallmarked for London 1825, makers Richard William Atkins and William Nathaniel Somersall.


It measures 4" high, 2 7/8" rim to rim and 3 3/4" rim to handle. It weighs a substantial 187g/6ozt.

Condition is excellent with no damage or dents and light and appropriate surface wear for age and use.
