Lovely George II silver 1 pint mug of round bellied form with raised, stepped circular foot and generous S shape strap handle with thumb rest.
Hallmarked to the base for Newcastle 1757, maker John Langlands I and partial marks to the handle also. It has been engraved with initials to one side and the handle is also engraved with "Marg't to IH".
It measures 5" high and 5" rim to handle. It weighs 342.9g/11.0ozt.
Condition is very good with no damage bar a tiny nick in the left side of the handle, and light and appropriate surface wear for age and use.
