Lovely Minton majolica card tray modelled as a putto draped on a stand with moulded grapes and leaves. He is holding a tray coloured in the classic Minton turquoise, draped in a purple cloth and with a green headband around his golden curls.
Marked to the base, I think the date cypher is a squashed form of that for 1869.
He measures 8" high and approx. 5 1/2" wide at the widest part.
Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration, just a tiny paint flake to the purple material at the back.
