A fine quality and good sized silver wine goblet with melon fluting to the lower half of the cup and a decorative beaded knop around the stem leading to a stepped collet foot. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1903, maker Elkington & Co. Ltd. The base is also stamped Elkington & Co. as a retailer mark.
It measures 16.2cm (6 3/8") high and 8.5cm (3 5/16") wide and weighs 172g / 5.5ozt. It has a generous capacity of 325ml (to the brim).
In excellent condition with no damage or repair, no dents or scratches and minimal handling wear. It is nice and clean inside ready for use, and it is also free from any engravings so would also be a lovely choice for use as a trophy.
