Attractive George III silver toddy/punch ladle with a twisted baleen handle, c.1770. The bowl of the ladle has pretty embossed decoration of flowers and foliage and is inset with a gold plated George II silver coin dated 1758. There is a vacant cartouche on the front.
Unmarked as is common but tested as silver.
It measures 13" (33cm) long and 2 1/4" (5.5cm) wide across the bowl.
Condition is very good with no damage or repairs. There is a little rubbing to the gilding on the coin.
