Superb large George IV silver soup ladle in the fiddle pattern by William Chawner II with Hanoverian drop. A small monogram to the handle and hallmarked to the reverse for London 1828.
It measures 13 1/2" long and the bowl is 4" by 3 3/8" wide and 1 1/4" deep. It weighs a substantial 261g/8.4ozt.
Condition is excellent with no damage or dents and light surface wear, good and appropriate for age and use.
