A fine George V silver inkwell of very large proportions formed as a bell with ring handle. Fitted with a deep clear glass liner. A simple monogram is engraved to the front. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1912, makers A & J Zimmerman.
It measures 14cm (5 1/2") high and 12.5cm (4 15/16") wide. Total weight 615g, it has a weighted base.
It is in very good condition: the ring handle has been neatly repaired at the base. A few really tiny surface dinks here and there and the marks are slightly rubbed.
