Lovely Worcester porcelain slop bowl with spiral fluted moulding and waisted shape. Decorated with a band of mazarine blue with gilded stylised foliate pattern inside the rim and a gilded star in the centre ringed with a gold and blue decorative circle. The outside is decorated with gilded insects and floral sprigs.
Marked with a small open crescent, early Flight period, c.1790. A very good size, useful for many purposes.
It measures 15.3cm (6") wide and 6.7cm ( 5/8") high.
Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. Light surface wear, just a little rubbing to the gilding on the high points of the rim and to the central star device in the base.
