Pretty first period Worcester fluted tea bowl and saucer decorated in the Sevres style with a shaped celeste bleu border finely over-painted with a black diaper pattern with stars at the crosses and framed with gilded scrolls with hanging gilt garlands. In between are sprays of flowers in pink, red and purple and a further central spray framed with a gilt scalloped ring. Gilded scalloped rims and the tea bowl has a dentile border running inside.


The saucer measures 5 3/8" wide and 1 1/8" high and the bowl measures 3 3/8" wide and 1 7/8" high.

Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. The saucer has 3 very short firing lines between some of the scallops at the rim. Surface wear is light, a few flakes to the gilding on the rim of the cup and a little wear to the spray inside the base. The saucer has a glaze flake below a spray on the side and a little wear to the enamel spray in the centre where the bowl sits.
