Very nice Worcester porcelain teapot painted in monochrome black with the boy on a buffalo pattern, c.1755-1765. Previously of the Zorensky collection with the collection stickers to both the base of the pot and inside the lid, and illustrated in Spero & Sandon plate 61 and sold in the Bonhams sale Part 1, lot 7. Marked to the base also.
It measures 14cm (5 1/2") high, 19.7cm (7 3/4") spout to handle and 12.1cm (4 3/4") wide.
Condition is very good: the cover has had a break restored but no other damage or restoration (condition as per Bonhams sale). Surface wear is very light. There are some small areas under the belly that show kiln dust spotting and there is a firing line around the top of the handle terminal.
