A pretty Worcester porcelain fluted tea cup painted in the Sevres style with pale turquoise enamel band below the rim over decorated in black and monochrome puce/purple stylised floral sprays below. Gilt decoration framing the turquoise, scalloped line above the foot rim and rim. A small polychrome floral spray in the centre also. c.1775.
Provenance: an old collection sticker for the Burrell Collection to the base.
Reference: Zorensky Collection by Spero & Sandon, entry 375.
It measures 5cm (2 1/2") high and 8cm (3 1/8") rim to rim.
In very condition with no damage or restoration. Slight fridging across the tops of some of the scalloped rim and loss of gilding in these places clearly. Very minor handling wear otherwise.
