First Period Worcester Porcelain Scale Blue Cup & Saucer c.1770

Pretty Dr Wall period Worcester cup and saucer, c.1770, with a blue scale ground with white cartouches painted in polychrome enamels in the kakiemon palette of oriental vignettes of landscape and exotic flowers and butterflies. All trimmed with fine gilding.


The cup measures 2" high,3 1/8" rim to rim and 4" rim to handle. The saucer is 5 1/8" wide and 1 1/8" high.

Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and minimal surface wear bar some rubbing to the gilding on the rims.
