Very pretty early Worcester cup and saucer, of fluted shape with scalloped rims, and decorated with a frieze of garden flowers, and the rims decorated with a cobalt blue band and ornate gilded detail. In the centre of both saucer and cup is a finely detailed purple neoclassical urn with a gilded ring to frame it.
C.1770, both pieces have an open crescent to the base.
The cup measures 1 7/8" high, 3" rim to rim and 3 3/4" rim to handle. The saucer is 5 3/8" wide and 1" high.
Condition is excellent with no damage and minimal surface wear to either enamels or gilding.
