A first period Worcester fluted tea bowl and saucer in a variant of the hop trellis pattern, c.1770. Royal blue bands with gilt decoration run around the top and bottom of the bowl and centre and rim of the saucer from which descends the hop trellis with triple red bands with twist effect gilt bindings and the hop sprays falling between. Documented as a direct copy of a Sevres design.
The bowl measures 1 7/8" high and 3" wide. The saucer is 1" high and 5" wide.
Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. Overall very light and appropriate surface wear but the gilded decoration to the blue band in the centre of the saucer has been rubbed.
