First Period Worcester Trembleuse Cup & Saucer Lambrequin Border

Code: FA0666

SOLD

First period Worcester porcelain trembleuse coffee and cup saucer with partially reeded moulded detail and painted with lambrequin pattern borders.

Provenance: The Wright Collection. Reference: Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 1751-1790. Branyan, French & Sandon, border number 48.

The cup measures 7.3cm (2 7/8") high, 7cm (2 3/4") rim to rim and 9.5cm (3 3/4") rim to handle. The saucer measures 13cm (5 1/8") wide and 2.5cm (1") high.

Condition is very good: there are a few small, shallow chips and frits to the footrim of the cup, no other damage or restoration and light surface wear. There is a light scattering of kiln dust dots in the ribbing, a bit more concentrated to the cup foot rim but obscured with the painted border.
